Is it necessary to drain water frequently?

No needed to drain when as a cooling ac or fan. but in extremely damp room or use its dry mode, you need to continuous draining with water pipe (package included).

What is the noise level in cooling mode?

The noise level is 45-56 dB when cooling, and in sleep mode(low wind), it is less than 45 dB, which is lower than the volume of conversation.

Can this air conditioner be used with any household socket?

The working current is 14A, 115V, but max is 20A for turbo mode, so the socket and wire need to support 20A current
